im heaps keen to see all these demos, but i cant get them to play. i read somewhere that you put them in quake3\baseq3\demos\ and it should appear in the demo section in the actual game, but the demos i have downloaded from here havent... if you know the solution to this a reply would be much appreciated...

"• Playing back a demo:

To play a demo you have obtained from somewhere else, you must first create a new folder in your baseq3 directory called "demos" (minus quotes). Next, you should place the demo file into this folder and then start up Quake 3. Go to the Demos option, and you should find the new demo in the list of demos available. It should be called whatever it's filename is in the demos folder.

Be aware that you can not play back a demo if the filename has blank spaces in it. Likewise, if you have recorded a demo, make sure you save it without any gaps. If you need to seperate words, use a dash (-) or an underscore ( _ ) instead."

Salmon,
The demo player in Q3 is buggy as fuck, the best thing to do, seeing as these demos are all recorded in OSP, is put the demos in quake3\osp\demos (make the dir if its not already there), then take a copy of the filename, and when you load up osp, type
"\demo zero_nd_vs_blah.dm_68"
and wallop.

Its never let me watch a demo And i suspect never will :( Geekplay doesnt work properly and if the demo actually starts and plays i cant see the opponent, i just assume the shots are good ... help :(

if you cant see the nme models, thats because your watching an osp demo with baseq3. (thats what i found anyway)

-copy your demos to: quake3\osp\demos
-start q3
-go to mods:load osp
-go to demos: play demo

i have the demo of quake three that does not have a baseq3 folder...is there any way i can but gun replacement models in it..thanks
