last week i was having the usual morning browse around the 4 corners of the
web, when i wandered onto sharkyextreme. this is a site i hadn't visited in a
good 6 months due to it being a bit static, much like my column ( /me digs eric
). anyways they do weekly
memory prices and weekly
processor prices and also specs of 3 classes of machines. their value
gaming rig, hi-end
gaming rig and extreme
gaming rig. while their prices are in us dollars it should still give you an
idea on what to expect to shell out for a system, well worth the read. on a side
note i just got me a p4 1800 for a good price, but i just got socked with a
£350 registration fee for college so i cant shell out for the board and ram etc
for it, so if anyone is interested in the chip gimme a shout, it's a seriously good price, but it will set you
back the guts of £500 for an abit th7 raid, 256mb samsung rdram, 350watt p4
powersupply and a swiftech 423 p4 cooler.
