Zero Ronan Condon Absolute Fucking Champion clan : n8z posts : 816 site administrator uk defaulted to italy in yesterdays clanbase tdm nations game, amid a flood of controversy. according to a news report on esr, the uk team aliased a player as vorv for the first game, and the level was defaulted. there are reports of the uk players being ping-flooded, but as usual that kind of thing can't be proved. seems like a lot of guys are moaning about flooding, not half enough realising how sad it is for a team of cheating bastards that skill level to have to go and alias....

Clanbase could also be more consistent about this - as it stands, they defaulted the first map for aliasing, but then played the remaining two on a dodgy german server where it's quite obvious pings weren't fair. I could understand one map there (pings looked fine in warmup) but two? Anyway, another "gg UK, gg internet" scenario.

If I were an admin I would have banned UK from the competition right there and then for trying to get away with cheating in the semi finals. For them to turn around and call the Italian team lame is very sad, and reflects the general attitude of the UK scene, always whinging and moaning. I would also ban DC from future Clanbase competitions, more because of their comments after the match than because of their cheating during it. Even if UK were being ping flooded (which I don't believe), how do you know it wasn't Swedish people looking for an easier final? (Sky will tell you that Swedish people flooded Blokey's connect last season). Or maybe some lame Italian fans. Whatever happened, its pathetic that the UK players will accuse the Italian team of being behind it, there is a responsibility that goes with captaining your country, even in a computer game... it was very disrespectful of the UK team to hold the cup in such contempt, and even worse for them to accuse the Italian national team of cheating, when more likely than not the players took this league responsibly and seriously (as indicated by their organisation and commitment when they beat Germany). The front-page update on esreality by DC-groupie.d3c4y focusing on the alleged ping flooding is just as bad. Why do you let these people represent the UK scene?

I thought it really WAS vorv... are those MY feet?), the aliaser (Blunt presumably) and all the queers who posted lame comments trying to lay the blame on the Italians.

28/01/2003 12:09 #7 anonymous I don't even watch the x-files, but i do like my conspiracy theories. maybe uk players/fans, knowing that their cheating game was up had other uk players flood them to make the italians look bad. nobody knows. my bullshit theory is as good as anyone elses. screw you all. as for storm playing innocent, HAHA "innocent mixup" suuure 1) i dont believe it 2) nobody else does 3) shouldn't have happened 4) if it's all true, we shall expect tremendous hostility towards blunt for deceiving the uk captain, all the other players, the uk scene, his clanmates, clanbase and all the poor kids on gtv that DCfan.Decay is so worried about over on esr. in fact if i were part of DC i'd kick him (blunt) out for deceiving all his N8Z like that. this of course wont happen, and is proof enough for me that storm knew the score. ye have no excuses. killy is bang on there with what he said. /saik *

The fact that Storm is pleading innocence on all the sites is bollocks. I think UK should be banned from the next cup, and thats annoying too because there are ppl like yourself who just want to play fair and have a laugh.
