| ah quake3, jesus i missed it. been playin a bit online now, praccying with the hat and fh lads, and playin wars is so much fun, i hadnt been able to do it for ages. my biggest problem is transferring the lan aim to a 50ping one, its fuckin horrible. kinda half-gettin the hang on it now, but in general my rockets/shaft/plasma/machinegun are all behind the guy im shooting at, and forget the rail, i have to aim miles ahead of the guy. i'll get used to it i suppose, but at the start it's frustrating, you come up one on one with a guy that you should box around, and realise you couldn't hit a bulls arse with a shovel.
played some good games last night, got introduced to cpm4, which i had never played before, more out of disinterest than anything else. when you havent played in the bw leagues, you can generally not play on whatever levels you dont like. was funny, we were playin myself, koopa, mp and van i think against the fh lads+ol, and drex was our coach on roger wilco, and he's there to me "zero goto red! goto red!" and i look at each door in the room in turn until he says "yeah, yeah that way, no! left! left!" etc, it was so funny, it was grand tho once i got into red, i generally didnt venture far. of course, i got one of the quads, and got lost again, "zero, bring it to red! attack red!" and me all lost down in some corner-o'-death in the level miles away from anywhere skipping along picking daisies. i'll kinda know it in future tho, so all's not lost. i'm playing out the rest of this season in the bwtdml with hat, so i'm lookin forward to it.
ul lan party on this weekend, should be deadly, loads of heads coming down to it. if nothing else, it will be a hell of a pissup. gonna play lots of "fun" games too, like a huge wolfenstein normandy landing etc. can't wait.
nothing else much, i eventually got a job anyway after 5 months of fuckin bullshit. in the college with a big fuckoff un-firewalled t3 line, and a gig p3 to play on afterhours, who's ure daddy? must re-insure my car now and i'll be sorted altogether. must go do some work. later....
