in the time it takes to play six games of #q3pickup, two games of #ctfpickup.euro, two dutch public ctf games, one game of #q3pickup.fr, one 108ping new york duel vs dermo, two qw duels, and feckloads of clanarena, i have managed to turn myself into a zombie. this is the rare feeling you get when your head throbs to the rhythm of strafejumping and the inside of blood-soaked eyelids project a bright green keel/pm into your very soul. even as i write this, i pause for quad every 2 minutes.

in case you don't already know, i've got eircom radsl - affordable, widely available dsl with low interleaving! would you believe that such a thing exists in ireland? theres a 4gig cap, but i'm happy with that since it'll stop the warez monkeys from soaking up all the bandwidth in my exchange giving netsource-esque 250. my ping doesn't even budge in fights... i laugh out loud whenever i use plasma gun. how could i have even played q3 before without the use of this super powerful weapon? i only wish vin and dest were on the server so i could watch their ping skyrocket while i spam. downloaded at 55k/s today 8) i see skies of blue, clouds of white, bright blessed days, and the dark sacred night....

i just want to confirm that q3 on broadband is as easy as it looks. the burst of madskillz i acquired on friday has subsided a tad, as anarchy warned me... but it doesn't matter. who needs skills when you've got dsl? isdners drop dead in my presence (modemers don't even get to see me) and i can just spam everyone else to death. this game is so easy.

day 4

jolt has decided to start giving me an extra 10ms ping. thanks a lot you fucking cunts. if you want to hear an amusing anecdote about jolt, ask melachi why he is banned from their servers. actually dont bother asking him, i'll tell you since its so funny. he emailed them to ask why he was unable to connect to servers, and they told him that vinnit'70 had got banned a few weeks before (that is fh|vincent, who never plays q3 outside of league games, does not recall the incident and has never cheated nor done anything worthy of a ban anyway*). but when melachi asked what this had to do with him, since vin is a completely different guy and they don't share a cd key, he was told that playing on jolt is a privilege that he has now lost because of his attitude in the emails regardless of what happened to create the ban to begin with. hahhhhhhahahahahahahahaahahhahah. thats on par with their expert handling of the lsr-xeno case which saw them alienate half of their jolt community. and now they give me 55 ping for no reason.

at least i know portsforhire will give me a nice 42 ping. can always rely on bassisleet for a good tdm pickup

fagot cheaty warpers. how am i supposed to enjoy my lovely 45 ping when these bastards teleport themselves around the map like ut players. and weapon-stealing cunts in pickup taking my armour too, i shot one of them in the back today on purpose and didn't apologise. i think i'm turning into a broadbander. q3pickup is gay anyway, why do they play ospdm5 in pickup? the only suitable maps are pro-q3dm6 and ospdm6. and why do i get 60+ ping to blueyonder?

my 1-week anniversary, and i can conclude from the letters v, b and n imprinted in my forehead and the smashed keyboard in front of me, that eircom dsl has completely eliminated the frustration of isdn. i can't play on blueyonder or jolt because of gay ping (60+). q3pickup is full of warpers. dutch servers are unplayable, almost constantly yellow ping. but at least i can rely on portsforhire for a good 40 ping, right??? wrong thanks to eircom's l33t routing via new york. 176 ping to bassisleet. and why is my ping 10ms higher than melachi's to every server? why do i never get white ping? why is my ping 13!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ms higher than mindphuck's????? this is such bollox, just because i live in cork, my ping is 9-14ms higher. radsl is useless. i can't even use maxpackets 100 since i don't even get my full 128k upload. and whenever my brother is surfing the internet i can't even play. and wtf is the deal with a 4gig cap? i'd download 4gigs checking my feckin email. two more years left in this degree and then i swear i'm moving to sweden.
