having seen a heroic display by the irish team this week and another heroic loss i felt confusion as to how best to look at the aftermath in a positive way. for ireland losing the rugby match against australia was unlucky. we made a few mistakes, didnt take our points and suffered. if i could meet the team i would say this. like the team of '91 you have managed to lose a game that you should have won. not for ireland but for yourselves. the members of that team have the rest of their lives to relive the game. there is one important difference between you and that team though. you have 3 matches to become world champions. starting this sunday.

I was so disappointed with Ireland being jammed out against Australia, not because of that game itself, but because it went we'd be meeting France while Australia get a gimme vs Scotland/Fiji. France are potentially so good they've always been one of the scariest sides to me.
