i just reads through the jolt public q3 servers "new" rules, and you can be banned for practically anything now it seems.



one particular "rule" that made me laugh so hard was this rofl....



"spectating - spectating is generally allowed on servers with over 10 player limits, although spectators are not allowed to talk to or distract in any way, any of the players"

"threewave ctfs servers are now enforcing zero tolerance to speccing since the player limits dropped to 10. if you are seen spectating you will be removed, if you are caught repeatedly, you will be banned."

clan games

"any clans found using our public servers for clan matches will see each player banned from the servers (both teams) and both clans (where applicable) removed from any jolt leagues they participate in."

I certainly wont play on jolt after recent events which happened to me concerning a ban but nevermind that its just ridiculous, there basically making people NOT WANT to play on JOLT GG

afaik melachi is still banned, the reason being that Vinnit'70 allegedly got kicked several months beforehand. You try working that one out :>

Not sure about the first couple but I agree with their point about clan games, if ya wanna play clan games then rent a server or book one using an appropriate service. It pisses me off when clans just take over public servers thinking they are there for them to use for private matches.

its jolt, what do you expect. it hardly has you rolling on the floor laughing out loud anyway. i think the idea is to make it easier to get a game on a public server, specs get in the way. maybe.

what u mean about the clan games, thats annoying indeed, but the speccing one is kinda funny as specs usually spec cos a game has already gotten underway and or they wanna w8 for a new map.

in qw ppl would free a server to let clans play, best way to do it like. Booking takes too long if you r looking to play a prac straight away.

I was banned too. And all they'll tell me is it was due to "Abuse." What kind? I have no idea what the Hell I did wrong.
