dest Owen McNally posts : 109 just noticed there on my daily rummaging that theres a duel cup running over on clanbase - www.clanbase.com/news_league.php?&lid=1267 - it's an international cup but the first group stage is all within ur own country with the top 3 goin through to playoffs. ye need at least 6 ppl from one country to qualify for a group. anyone interested? might be a laugh, theres some english cuntors signed up i think i could take signups close january 6th so slap ur name up soon if ye wanna give it a shot.

Even told HellSpawn, and I just noticed that Flash (a CB admin) has signed himself up as the Irish Manager? Like wtf, can someone please explain to me how that someone that doesnt participate in the Irish Scene, doesnt hang in #quake.ie (or #team.ie for that matter), doesnt play for an irish clan (in any game?), doesnt post on say Quake.ie webby get to become Country Manager ? Correct me if I am wrong here ?? I give up.

We organise Irish Leagues and We will not allow/let Flash or any other admin jump on the BandWagon because they 'think' they are Irish. Its not that I need the extra work or anything, trust me, im damn busy. But its the whole principle of the thing that just gets up my nose.

I'm not too pushed on the matter, because I know Flash IS Irish, and hes fair and reliable. If he likes to do his own thing online and keep to himself then thats his business. It is a pity that he isn't more active in the Irish quake community but that doesn't make him any less Irish. The league is a Clanbase league for Irish players, and out of all Irish players Flash has been by far the most active admin in Clanbase (probably the most active Clanbase q3 admin from anywhere last season) - check out his reviews and adminning from the CTF Nations cup, he has done a lot for Clanbase and is the natural choice from Hellspawn's point of view. Its true that he doesn't have too much influence over Irish players and has had no input in the Irish scene to date that I can think of, but that is not a requirement for adminning this league. I mentioned to Flash a few days ago that I was surprised only 1 admin would be selected for each country. I am happy to have Flash remain as admin, although the ideal situation would be that somebody who knows the players better also be added as a second admin to give more depth to the reports and news updates. I don't think its a big deal though so it doesn't matter to me if the system doesn't allow that.

I'll sign up to make up the numbers for group stages, I played a few games in that Clanbase clan duel cup and it was good fun.
