| i talked about this before, in fact i'm pretty sure i posted these before, maybe not but someone asked me for them the other day so here they are. these are custom "loc" files for tdm levels, they go in the \osp\locs folder, this zip file has the folder already so just unzip them to your quake3\osp folder. then type "cg_customloc 1" (note the big c) before connecting or else just reconnect when you type it and wallop. these make a massive difference in a tdm and if you aren't using them already then you should be. an example of the difference is this: (zero)(rl) <= item railgun (zero)(rl) <= item railgun where is the railgun? rl in dm6 means anywhere from the curve to the ya platform. with these locs it looks like this: (zero)(rl) <= item railgun (i am at ya side entrance to rl box) (zero)(rl) <= item railgun (i am on ra side entrance to rl box) (zero)(rl curve) <= item railgun (i am not in rl as normal locs say, i'm guarding ra from door) (zero)(rl) <= item railgun (i am actually at the rocket launcher) this mightnt sound like a big deal, but remember the last time you fucked around looking for a gun coming up to quad with ra on the way back in and you ended up getting shot in the back by the guy who dropped the weapon and came back for it. all other locations are done and color coded in the same way, what used to be rail is now rail, rail jumppad, rail-curve, under rail, and what used to be ya is now ya, plasma, ya platform, ya stairs etc. what i find best about these locs is that the barest glance at your team overlay will tell you if your team is in control or not, you'll see splashes of red/yellow/white etc. use these. they are deadly. get them here.
