dont think he`s been playing much cause he`s in his last year of schoolies,
although noone will admit it, he`s a decent player. confessing to me one drunken
nite that he`d be div1 if he had dsl, this cuntor plays from bray on his isdn
and has a quest to win the game. could be more hungry for success than others.
will have a fair chance of a third spot if he takes the right people at the
right time. clan leader(?) of disgraced irish/uk/eu clan jobos(not sure why
they`re disgraced im just jumping on the bandwagon here) has recently formed
new clan called xl. in fairness if it wasnt for this cunt, newish q3 lads like
myself would have no clan to play for(not that they play any games). so eh fair
fucks to benji he doesnt deserve all the flak he gets. he`s still a mullet inbred
yokel tho.

old schooler dest has been one of the top q3 players in ireland for years, more
at home in tdm and ctf, he has the quality to make 1v1 effortless. again all
depends on how well/much he`s been playing of late, but is the type of person
who doesnt need much practice to regain sharpness. recently got dsl, so further
enhances his chances of going through. barring some sort of freak accident he`ll
be going through(jinxed you now lad). ive only played dest once or twice, he`s
the kind of player a low skill lad like me doesnt relish a game against as he
has that knack of making you quit q3.

reiko/flash

the irish admin for this cup, dont know to much on him. flash/reiko is the brother
of ie.kazz and fh|jc. never seen him in duel but hes a skilled player and very
competent in ctf.(killy)

killy

this cork lad has the skill to match his tactical play, recently speced him
rack up a 20-0 win versus dest on pro-tourney4, of course thats no real indication
of anything as the top 5 can beat each other on their day. clan leader of prominent
irish clan fh, has bagful of experience which could prove useful against less
stronger opposition, knowing killy he`ll prolly talk down his chances of winning.
but all that will be out the window onces the game starts. a no nonense gamer
who is back on isdn after a brief flirt with dsl, will be interesting to see
how his shaft matches up against the broadbanders.

predictions : top 3 if on form

overlord

aka woody is an old school quake player, with a fair bit of skill, played a
couple of games against him and was class one min, not so hot the next. if het
gets his game on he`ll be hard to put down. another isdner who will do well
to beat some of the broadbanders. no doubting he has the skill to win, just
depends on how well he plays.

predictions : first few games important. could push for top3

pyro

young lad, and the newest quake3 player online. will use this tourney as good
experience and practise. no doubting he`s got nice aim and has been seen testing
his shit solo online ¬_¬ might make a few surprises and plays pro-dm6
nicely. if het gets headphones he`ll be able to hear the shaft buzz from behind,
plays gutsy too. havent played him much but have seen him play online a good
bit. will become a far better player after this tourney once he gets used to
timenudge-20(instead of warpy -40)

predictions : will surprise with impressive performances

rapp

another quality player, who has impressive movement and a very attacking style
of game. back on dependable dsl, should make it look easy. i`d like him to get
throught this as id be interested to see how well he plays outside of ireland.
again no doubting his ability, should make the top3 with time to spare. was
impressed with his performances at darkside 1v1, he has the ability to pull
shots out of his ass.

ska`s bro, bit of an unknown, but having a bro who plays q3 can only help, gah
think of the inhouse competition. anways we`ll see on server how good he is(bet
u he beats me).

didnt know too much about ska, but from what ive heard he`s mustard(spot the
film), anyway im sure his game will do the talking. again i havent seen him
duel but going on word he`s top5 easily enough.

spacey

this is one guy i know a fair bit about, dueled him since i started q3 and only
recently beat him(after he beat my 9/10). i hate his damn "gay rails"
which seem to slap me upside the head. a very good player/aimer who can go without
quake for a couple of months and come back sharp as before. prolly isn`t taking
this too serious but the gloves will be off if he gets a good result against
one or two others. hope he does well enough, and will be playing through his
ass to rack up a top score against me(to beat me down). all depends if he gets
his timing right he should be able to take anyone on pro-dm6. another player
who on his day can beat anyone else, just depends if any of those days are within
the next month or two

zero

another old schooler, he has vast experience and good tactical gameplay, a dueler
at heart and will be gunning for some glory that he deserves. played him in
some duels and he seems to win effortlessly. will always be there or thereabouts.
has a habit of messaging me after beers and wanting duels(duel ya cunt). has
dsl and will cleverly use that against the isdn lads to add to his advantage.
i can see a lot of his games either being very close or him besting peeps easy(hows
that for jinxing). one of the most active in the quake scene for the past few
years, and no doubt will be bollocking people to get the games on. if hes on
form he`ll come through with strong results.

melachi

half swede, half hells angels motorcyclist, 2 parts water and leave on gas mark
6. mel has been fairly quite on the 1v1 scene of late, concentrating more on
tdm and the likes. if he gets into the form he had at darkside 1v1, he`ll be
hard to beat. a top quality player with a good mixture of aim, skill, and tactics.
if he`s controlling the maps, he`ll qualify easily, if not it will provide us
with some good action. no point me going on about how good he is, cause we know
that, just depends how much practice he`s had and what kinda form he`s in.

baz(me)

only have q3 online around 2months, play for fun more than anything
else. will take a lot from all these games, which should hopefully see me play
more maps. playing more ctf than duels, where team mates can carry me a bit
. realistically, no chance of winning but hoping to take a map off one or
two people. with that i`ll be satisfied. and if i dont i`ll just act the gay
and play with pummel out.

overall i expect
a few close games between the top5, im not sure what way the rules are, it could
even come down to frags for one or two places. hopefully everything will go
smoooth, and there`ll be no "whine" and we`ll have some great games.
after all this is a chance to represent ireland on the europeon stage. no doubt
who ever goes through will does us proud. feel free to point out anything i`ve
missed
