| i wrote this one day when i was bored.
the first 60 seconds of every match is crucial, and can decide whether you win or lose if you are playing against a better team. what i wrote below here are starts for dm6. i'll do other maps but i wrote these first, seeing its what everyone was playing atm. this mightnt be the absolute l33t start that some of the ninja clans use, but its close enough.
dm6 starts ==========
starts: 0 - 30 seconds of the game.
your start is absolutely important. every start has a function, and if you dont know these it can cost you the lead in a war. the simple version is that you leg it to the nearest weapon and from there you go to stop the nme getting the railgun. but each individual spawn can have different things to do:
spawn under ra (closest spawn to ra): this spawn is linked to the three spawns at lg. (one at the lg, one halfway up the stairs, one at shards). when i spawn at lg, i beeline it to ra, and if my teammate has spawned closest to ra, it's his job to realise where i am and give me the ra. vice versa when you spawn at ra, you will get a glimpse as you go up the jumppad of whether its a teammate or an enemy getting the lg. if its a teammate, you dont land on the ra, you give it to him. he then collects ra and goes straight to rail. he will be one of the fastest people to rail. i have a 'status' bind, which just looks like

this doesnt give a specific order or anything, just tells you where i am, and what health/armour/weapon i have. i hammer that if i spawn at lg for my teammate to give me ra. this is very important. an lg guy with ra at start heading to rail is an extremely strong start for our team. don't fuck this up.
spawn under ra (up near shotgun): if a guy spawns near you under the ra, then forget ra, its taken, get the shotgun and go help get rail. if its secured, you will be using your shotgun to get second weapons (see below).
plasma gun spawn: same deal, pick up plasma gun, pick up ya, and get over to rail. you have it pretty safe, no spawners to annoy you. it's your job to kill the lg-ra nme (if he exists). watch out for rl guy comin down to rail too (although he shouldnt be).
ya platform (across from rail, closest to rl): there are two spawns here, ignore the other spawner (for now) and get the rl asap, you should get in there with v little damage. remember when you pick up the rl, you are the only person on the level with a rocket launcher. and when you think about it, out of the 8 ppl on the level, you are one of the 4 (max) ppl on the level at that time with a decent weapon. so its very important (1) that if you are about to die, you switch over to machine gun and dont give the cunt a weapon, and (2) that you make your weapon count, don't piss around, if you get the rocket launcher you are too late to get the ra. the best use your rocket launcher can be put to, is to secure top of ya stairs, preferably killing the stairs spawner that should right about now be jumping across to pick up the rail.
ya platform (across from rail, on stairs):machinegun the fuck out of the other spawner, he should be heading for rl, (if he's not hes an idiot, step to your right onto the 50 health and finish him then grab the rl). anyhoo, when he goes for rl, you have to make the jump to rail. watch for the lg and shaft guys coming up the jumppad, take the rail over to the ya platform (carefully - watch for rl guy) and from there into the rl-entrance to ra. kill any gays hangin around waiting for ra.
lg spawn (closest to lg): talked about this above, grab lg very fast and boot into ra. if you are fast enough (rarely), you will be up the jumppad close enough behind an enemy to shaft him off the wall and stop him landing on the ra. if your teammate spawns under ra, you have to let him know you took lg and that ra is yours. then get to rail. you are the strongest person on the level and as you can see, there should be a convergence of the 3 current strongest weapons coming to rail, and they wont all be friendly.
lg spawn (stairs): slight chance you can get to lg ahead of other guys but extremely unlikely, train yourself that when you spawn there you dont even think about it, you turn and get the rail. you will be first to rail if the ya stairs spawner dies before he makes the jump. take the rail over to the ya platform (carefully - watch for rl guy) and from there into the rl-entrance to ra. kill any gays hangin around waiting for ra.
lg spawn (shards): you got a shit spawn, try hassle the lg guy if he's not on ure team but dont let him kill you, thats a wasted death. watch out for the shotgun guy. if he's any good he'll be going for you.
shotgun spawn (downstairs): grab the shotgun, if the shaft guy is dumb enough to come out through shards, you probably wont kill him but if you catch him on the corner you will do an awful lot of damage to him. your main concern is the guy spawning at shards itself, just kill him and stay frosty for second weapons.
these are all just written as i think them, i havent sat and analyzed them or anything but they are close enough.
second weapons: =============== second weapons are obviously enough very important, and are also quite often forgotten by ppl in the initial scurry of a war. remember, on dm6, the second rl is in at about 33 seconds, second shaft is in at 32 etc. always remember the second weapons, they are waiting to be picked up.
blehh, there's loads of stuff i've not said here, and this is just dm6 starts.
