roughly one month late in advertising jogi's leet idea, its time to make up for it now! thanks to king tommy himself, its now possible to load up qw straight from boot and enjoy the smooth slick feeling of a 500hz rate mouse (thanks to linux!) \o/ \o/ \o/

[extracted from quakeworld.nu]

jogihoogi has put together a fantastic, yes a fantastic project. a tweaked bootable linux cd that contains quakeworld (fuhquake and morequakeworld) with all the neccessary components for serious online play. support includes all intel pentium and amd athlon processors and derivatives. jogihoogi has patched the usb core code for 500hz, so this is a chance for all you windows users (software and gl) who have not bothered with the sometimes difficult and tedious process of installing and setting up linux to try out a 500hz beast mouse. download links and very important brief instructions are at jogihoogi's spiffy site here.

good work jogimon!

readng about this some time back or was it a different distro, anyway a brilliant idea. Also using such a fast kernel that would be really sweet

the advantage (if its what I think it is) on this sno is... no linux install necessary, you run it all off the CD. That was an idea Sam told me about years ago.

Looks nice, I'm trying to get it working in linux on it's own so I'll give this a miss, looks good tho.

till ID release the source for q3 (hopefully)

Nothing to stop you doing up you're own distro, Quake3 is piss easy to get running in Linux anyway
