Nicky Nicky posts : 26 well, am moving to dublin, going to get broadband, living in the centre of the city, looking stuff up and netsource seems like the best option, whats the reality though? are esat still the best or what?

06/02/2004 12:01 #1 anonymous Do not get netsource whatever you do. I had them for a few months and the service was a joke, they capped me to 23k/sec because i was a heavy downloader. Pings were absolute shit most of the time - 200ish. On a good day they were same as iol or eircom. I moved onto eircom then and have no complaints about them. I think most ppl will agree eircom is the best for pings even though the downloadlimit sucks. rapp

Eircom dsl is probably the best, and free for 3 months, but has a low cap. If you still like to download stuff, maybe Digiweb Bizjet Enhanced might be good, but I dont know; its a resale of eircom dsl afaik but I havent seen anyone who uses it.

06/05/2004 00:24 #5 anonymous have yet to be charged for busting the eircom cap. download about 13 gigs each of the past 2 months. haven't played games for a while but 30 dos pings its about the 3rd best conn you can get pingwise in this country. Also one which is available in most areas. the cap wont be fun once htey start charging though. think im upgrading to 1mb seeing as i dont give a shit about games n pings anymore. right now i seem to download shit every night and then have to spend the rest of the month going slow. mel
