MindPhuck Eric Mooney Im drinking stuff donated to quake.ie clan : n8z posts : 1267 site owner well, a big thanks to paddy for hosting the lan the weekend. thanks to your mom for the coffees, teas and toast. it was most excellent. the lan was brilliant. no bullshit, no crapola, just game after game after game of q3. i think people started for fade about 6am, but it went on till about 11 in the morning. lots of ctf and even a couple of tdm games. i have demo's but i'm afraid i was soo out of practice that i would bore you with my crapness, so with any luck, i'll try bum dest or vins demos and lash them up here. incidentially, on my drive down, i came across the boyne bridge, it was an awesome sight and the following picture, here, doesn't do it justice. but its the most amazing blue bridge ive ever seen.. and it is blue at night! if you get a chance, its worth a drive some evening. again, to spaceman, thanks for your hospitality and hosting the lan. i hope to run one and return the favour in january.

The ctf was good craic, with the enjoyable maps being wc6 and cp15 ps. Dont let giblet near projectors and/or xboxs. I got home at 3.20ish in the afternoon and didn't get out of bed till 8.30am this morning - 17 hours sleep looking forward to watching a few of these films i leeched. hl2dm - best game ever

13/12/2004 13:56 #7 Carl33to Carlos 1+3+3=7 posts : 126 administrator lan was great.. plenty of games, proper chairs, a place to rest, food etc. cheers Paddy! thanks to Eric for the lift and all the great stories from the 'golden age of quake' thanks to all the rest of ye for being such easy targets.. noobs things I'll remember from the lan.. - xbox games looks shit to me.. but then, every game after quake looks kinda shit to me - current q3 avi's are fairly poor, I'm sure I could whip up a much better one.. but I won't - MP's def on q3wcp5 was a pain in the hole - banjoe not being able to play the banjo - HL2 looks like a laff, have to give it a shot. I'm suspicious about its future though.
