i'm looking for talented mappers/level designers for positions within the new torc studio.

applicants should have a good working knowledge of any/all of the following...

radiant, doomedit, unrealed, max.
experience with scripting and materials is an advantage.

torc are about to begin development of a new ip and are looking for team orientated, talented people to bring their own flavour to the proceedings.

if you are interested contact me at the following address...

sean@torcinteractive.com

to see what we're up to at the mo, go to
www.torcinteractive.com

it has been your dedication to this site that has brought me here. indigenous talent is like golddust here and to find such a group dedicated to gaming as you are makes my job easier.

cheers and look forward to hearing from you.

I don't know of anyone who might fit the bill off the top of my head or at least adequately. Personally I think a lot of people here are more interested in playing the game and whining about its defects - much like myself.
I'd know the layout of a decent map in my head but just wouldnt have the knowledge of how to put it into practice. There was a guy who used post here called 'Thrax' he seemed to be big into his mapping and the creative side of things.

ive donated to quake.ie!

Torc are cool, I remember downloading the demo of their q3-based game years ago and it owned. ThrAx, Irish Ranger's star map maker was big into this stuff alright, afaik he also did the Ludo course in Dublin which builds upon that stuff.

I've already contacted Thrax, but thanks anyway.
I may have to (unfortunately) cast my net wider.

Bear in mind, if you send me ANY maps from ANY editor, I will review and get to the author.

I myself have been mapping for 8 years. I refuse to believe I'm the only one.
