MindPhuck Eric Mooney Im drinking stuff donated to quake.ie clan : n8z posts : 1267 site owner any of you logo designers out there willing to spend a free little time? fancy having the honor of creating a new logo and loook for the new quake.ie ? have a go and paste put up your artwork, if your stuff is teh win, you get your logo and style ingraved in stone! well, sorta seriously tho, i could do with some help with some nice gfx for the top please.

25/09/2005 14:36 #7 anonymous I've hosted a quick and dirty 20 minute effort for the banner at this address but I'm not sure about it. I've kept the .psd so I can still go back and work on it as an original, but if Quake.ie is skinnable, will there still be one banner? The one I've done was for a black page - but most sites wouldn't want their page black, but it could be worked to something else. Also, don't know how Quake.ie feels about having a tricolour, I presume this site gets cross-border traffic, so it could be best to leave out that and go for something more 'hibernian', instead of 'Republican' (as in the State - not our Gerry). Thoughts? Obviously the 'banner' I linked to is huge at the minute, but low quality, but it's just for preview purposes. As I say, I have the 5 MB original pic and can work on it again if people think it could be used, or needs changing. I am curious though, what's the recommended filesize limit for the banner? Cache or no cache, the pages are lighter for the dialup massive if it's below 100 Kb. And do you guys want a FAVICON.ICO? ʌ

I'll send it to Terekki to see what he things about it and see about the logo. The logo from ~leejadsl isn't bad either, but I was thinking of something a bit different from the actual Quake logo, maybe with imagery etc. Good work in progress mp

I was like, wtf, how did that happen. just so you know, their completely seperate databases. the in-progress work/data is converted over from the orig site, hence, why it didn't appear cheers for that Laurent. (!!)
