| the irish have never been considered a nation of ctf players. having entered the
euroctf league for the second time around, i think we have proven that with some more
practice and dedication we can rub shoulders with the best of the national teams and give
them a run for their money.
most of our games were close games. though some of the results show it like a clear
wins, as most of our opponents will tell you, they were very close games. i believe
only the english team gave us a good trancing, where the other teams who beat us.. just
beat us. i wouldn't like to down-grade the other teams wins. a wins a win isnt
it, but we made them fight hard to get them tho
back to the team. as the team manager, i found the players (mostly) very enthusiastic and
full of energy. in the early stages, we practised every night until we had our
teamplay and tactics organised. we really had a great laugh playing the games
with some great banter and slagging going on. almost every member put in a strong
effort and i feel very proud to be part of our national team regardless of coming in 4th
in our group. anyway, should there be a 3rd season, and im sure there will be,
ireland will be there and ready to get stuck in.
here is a quick recap of the results -
