Apparently u can take all the lighting effects out of q4 using r_singlelight and r_lightscale commands giving a major fps increase. However these commands are currently locked in multiplayer. Hopefully someone can mod this into the multiplayer so we can further rape the d3 engine

28/10/2005 17:38 #2 dest Owen McNally posts : 109 i just timedemoed the demo from that thread and got over 120fps (map is edge) even letting it run into the part where he switches lights back on. and i have a pretty low end comp for q4. i sincerely hope servers start enabling this command. with brightskins this would be excellent.
