| it's so cool being back in this fuckin place (ul), had forgotten how much i missed it. just sitting here now, early hours of the morning, nothing to do but browse websites, listen to choons and watch demos. nice nice.
it's class, this is the first proper opportunity i have had to play q3 properly, as against 2-day-bursts every now and then. i mean, q3 still feels new to me, it's weird to think it has been around nearly 2 years from the first test til now. it means we have a lot to catch up on, i mean, we (nd) have only started to get the levels down and improve our aims etc the last week or so, while tons of guys have been playing it nearly two years. i hopped onto google there yesterday, did a search for irish quake, and found a page by jedi started almost two years ago, have a gawk here.
come to think of it, it's a disgrace that nd are able to take on anyone, i mean as regards q3, we are practically a bunch of newbies, yet this past weekend we went on the net and destroyed a bunch of clans in barrysworld, they all laughed when we said we dont play on the net, called us bullshitters. in a way it's a compliment, but those little brit fuckers are so annoying.
trinlan, two weeks to go, looks like bio won't have a team there, but most others probably will. nd will have two teams there, not an a and b team, but we are going to basically split the clan down the middle, to put out two even teams. they will probably be:
podgeen, koopa, gman, bunny and
jay, zero, overlord and sonic. (wario prolly cant make it, exams n shit :/
should be good. we will obviously be putting forward a "first" team to play ps. that game was being such a big deal in my mind there about a week or two ago, but fuck it, there's clan rivalry and there's bitterness, we all saw what happened with ps and se7en, (which i was buried in), and there is no point in it. tom, andy, nicky and chris are all mates of ours, we all get on well, so it should be left as clan rivalry and not some big deal that will turn the beer sour afterwards.
it will be a serious game, we are going to do our best to be prepared and to win, but it will be a seriously tough game. if it was 2 jedis and 2 andys we would be confident of beating them, but ser and nicky are such a class above as regards teamplay and natural skill, they dont just know what you intend doing, they also naturally know your plan b and c, that's fuckin scary. and this last weekend was the last team praccy we will have but the guys are set to win, and we'll see how we do.
4.32am now, i have to drive to cork at 11am to collect the missus, and come back on thursday. heh, "of course i missed you and will spend tonight with you (must....play....quake....)"
anyhoo, i have bullshitted on enuff, must hit the sack and try not to have dm7 demos playing on the inside of my eyelids while going asleep. must update the nd site actually, not now but soon.
