just a little rant while i'm sitting here waiting on a game demo download to happen...

still waiting on my new pc...my little fps monster is waiting on a monitor and a gfx card. why oh why did i ask for a geforce 2 ultra? apparently they sent out the 32 meg ddr instead of the 64, so it's gone back and now i'm waiting on the one i paid for.
will i have it for trinlan? who knows.

the whole ctf savage cup thing should be moving along nicely. unfortunatly, it's not. we have a squad where half the people are dedicated and the other half couldn't give a toss. but here's the fucked up thing...the people who actually give a toss one week, seem to go 'fuck it' the next and visa-versa. bit mad i reckon. i arranged two games this week with belguim and england. set up a mailing list last sunday with all the players in the squad and informed of both games (thursday and saturday) over email and on this site and boards.

not many people showed for the practises, nevermind the games, and as a result, we don't have a tight 'a' team in our squad with tactics and teamplay. whether this is my fault? hmmm, i wasn't online for long on saturday to arrange anything apart from game with england @ 4pm. when people were supposed to be on #ireland.ctf i dropped in 25 mins late and the only one there was vamp, i had to leave to go to a wedding, so i left him to organise the game.
it didn't go ahead, *shrug*. now, was this because people didn't know about the game? no, they had email direct into their inboxes, boards.ie and this site to find out.

i don't know, but i have in in-built disgust for taking people by the hand guiding them through anything like children. msg'ing everyone on different channel and telling them to join the ctf channel at the practise time, people dropping and coming back 15 mins later etc. it's just impossible to organise if people treat it like a 'job' rather than some fun and a game. on the squad there's a lot of cop-on, it's just being lost in a bit of confusion and b/s. i hope there will be a little more positive input over the coming weeks, it's a bit disheartening the way it's currently going.

i don't know when the ctf eurocup starts exactly (no date announced yet), but when it does, either 1) we play and lose, or 2) we play and win by chance on dm skill.

enough of that for now then...

I know the two of you were, my point was more to do with the fact 3 people aren't a team, rather than picking at particular people. Not to worry, we'll try to get another game going. Maybe more than 3 will show this time.
