tonights savage euro game ireland vs scotland takes place at 9p.m. could the team selected please meet in #irelandctf tonight @ 8.

the maps for tonights games are q3wctf1, q3ctf2 and q3wctf2.

the team has been selected and it is jedi, m1ke, sky, simo and skelter with subs : m1rv, mindphuck, koopa, vampiro and overlord.

If it's an official Irish CTF Team, surely 2 team selectors from the same clan, who can pick themselves to play, and just happen to pick a team of 5 guys from their own team isn't exactly a fair way to go about it.

Maybe there is no bias there, but of the 5 subs you have listed, at least 3 should be in there ahead of simo.

...has improved immensely skill-wise and in team awareness over the last 6 months and is primarily on the team for tonight's game because his impressive knowledge of the maps for tonight's game and the tactics which accompany tonight's maps.

I agree there is more skilled dm players within the list of subs there, however, I can't be assured of their knowledge of the maps and tactics being played tonight.

Also, I think it's unfair of you to single out and one member of this squad, without recent knowledge of his attributes and skills.

I can't pick myself to play. And simo, m1ke and skelt of tonight's team are listed as the only BiO members.

Any bias perceived is indeed, entirely coincidental. I hope this answers your concerns.

Jedi and Sky play for Bio, unless I'm greatly mistaken??

That's irrelevant anyway, but I dont think a selector should be allowed play, I think that will piss off the lads on the panel, because no matter how much objective you try to be, if a player is picking a team, he is going to want to be on it, whether he should be or not.

I play CTF for SS. And occasionally for nEo. Not for bio.
I'm sort of still in bio but not active.

Personally I think the team should vary by map (koopa in mid on w1? yes pls

but I think the five selected is a pretty good team.

in fairness lads putting simo in instead of koopa is the most ludicrous thing I've heard in a long time. Saying he has learned tp etc BULLLSHIT just stick Sam with a rg anywhere in the map will probably be more effective then simo's TP.

Only 6 people turned up for the game. The 5 that played and Mindphuck. Koopa was not on irc and Eric refused to play because his connect was fuxored. Which left 5 people. Not the top 5 ctf players but 5 very good players. The entire team did them selves proud in the game last night and deserve a little support rather than the abuse they get for the performance they put in. Its from the same people every time.

I refused to play because I am NOT a sub. While I do not and have never liked the way the team was ran, I wont turn my back on the Irish team, hence, why I coached. But don't ask me to play. I would find that rather insulting considering.

Im presuming I was picked for the games becaue some of the squad hasnt shown the slightest bit of interest towards the entire thing also that squad list is wrong as Vamp quit the team ages ago. wctf1 i wouldnt be expected to be picked ahead of koopa and i wasnt, koopa is midifled/attack on wctf1 i play in the last man back role sitting in the base being bored for 20 minutes. I think I have adequate experience on the other 2 maps aswell to justify being selected. I can understand what you are saying zero and guinessman but u seem to be basing ur opinions alot more on DM than CTF and im lucky in the fact that teamplay comes before railing skills the majority of the time in CTF. I know im not better than koopa in overall terms but certain mods call for certain players and a general experience of playing the mod is required and perhaps thats why i was picked. But if members of the squad arent happy with me being selected I'll drop from the squad id prefer peace and quiet to another stupid and petty argument starting again.

i pulled your name out of the hat, what i was saying wasnt personally at u. it's also not a petty argument, peace and quiet is nothing to do with it. It's to do with a national team.

Look at it this way... If this was a tdm competition and me and bunny were pickin the team, and we picked 3 nD lads and Bunny picked himself, say for the BWEC or something, there would be fuckin uproar, and right too.

As for CTF, blah, ctf tactics are ctf tactics, any oldschooler has known them for years, they alter slightly with each map, that's it. If this was just me tryin to be a prick, why did mp say what he did up there:

Thats cool Zero and im not saying this is a petty argument im saying it could escalate into that unless everything is kept nice and civilised by peeps

I know you werent going at me personally you were just making your point but I just thought i may aswell explain meself. As for CTF tactics well the more experience u have on each map the more detailed ur teamplay should get so i dont really agree with u there. About the MP thing well im gonna keep meself as far away from that as possible as I have nothing to do with the running of the team
