we were talking there a few weeks ago about a net team.ie, and had some trials. i know we haven't regularized them yet, but we watched all the demos, and since then we have both played against people and watched the odd demo from ppl's sites.

just to clear something up, the internet team will not be the best 4 net players. what we mean by this, is that there is a certain level you need to reach to even pretend to be able to face down any other european squad, and at the moment, there isn't anyone on the net at that level. however, there are a few players that have definitely improved a lot, and look like they will make the net team if they keep it up.

the first player we have to mention is jedi. he is very consistent, and his general teamplay has improved lots over the last few months. we'll see how he does playing in the first few ec3 games. koopa has finally got playing regularly online, and as usual he has a near-perfect aim which nearly defies teamplay, but still is very undisciplined in teamgames, needs to improve on that.

everyone else who is trialling still has a chance, but bear in mind that there is a cut-off point, a standard level you have to reach, or else you are a liability to your team. this team cannot and will not be second-rate, so if we have to fill up a net team with the lan team.ie, we will. remember, you will never meet a weak player in an international game, the guys we are playing against are the cream of the crop, the best guys from the best clans.

we'll keep you informed of any new developments.
