ah, the fight that has been put off for ages and ages took place last night in the vindaloo
quakeworld duel server, with me and fischbach observing. well, what a fight! they picked a
level each to play. from experience i know that when these lads get control of a level you're
fucked, and that's exactly what happened. mouserat picked dm4 and scary picked dm6. they played
dm6 first and scary was playing here on the pc in my office. well, mouserat won the race to the
rocket launcher and tore scary a new asshole and it went from there. mouserat was all over the
place, scary was getting absolutely wrecked, and by the time it was 5-1 i knew scary was psyched
out of it, he knew mouserat was going to maul him. after the ten minute timelimit it was 14-1 to
mouserat and scary was a tense ball of sweat here in the office. but it wasn't over yet.
mouserat's picked level was yet to come.

well, it then moved on to dm4, mouserat's own level where i have seen the bastard play, and i
just knew scary's end had come with a bang. the game started and scary grabbed a launcher and
made bits of mouserat. i said to myself, right, well that's the only one he'll get. suddenly
the tables were completely turned around, and scary had mouserat on the run a lot of the time
and when he hadn't he was just beating him on the confrontations. scary kicked the shit out of
mouserat so bad and me and fisch couldn't believe it, a complete turnaround from the last level.
scary won 13-1 which put mouserat ahead by a kill, but we couldn't leave it there after such
a fight so they played a third level picked by me and fischbach, which was e1m2.

well, the final level got underway, and it was going to be the decider, and mouserat got off
to a good start which was compounded when scary blew himself away with the quad damage.
mouserat then got up to a 3,-1 lead which was looking bad for scary who yet again pulled himself
together and got an amazing 6 frags in a row before the ul network stalled and mouserat picked
up a frozen kill to even the overall scores at 19-19. ah well, what can i say? it was a great
game and i couldn't believe the scores, scary kicks ass but i thought mouserat would annihilate
him. no matter, "judgement night 2  " will be scheduled for some night in the future when scary is
back in limerick for a few days.
