MindPhuck Eric Mooney Im drinking stuff donated to quake.ie clan : n8z posts : 1267 site owner saw this on clanbase. id software have released the source to quake ii. now, i'm not a fan of q2, but its still played by a huge amount of players and all i can see is cheats being brought out for it now that the source is available. ahh well, i guess you q2 freaks will have to turn to q3 or some other game.

Probably released quietly to stop cheaters. Once again sorry eric for interrupting ur game, didnt know u were playing.

It's probably possible to get it to work with other C++ compilers but it's likely to involve some serious hassle. As to where you get it - you can grab visual studio on a student license for £70. Or find it 'elsewhere' if you can.
