the euroctf
league is due to kick off in about 2 weeks time. below is irelands group
prediction from xsreality.com .you can
read the predictions for the rest of the groups here.


group 2 ::
wales, iom, scotland, england, ireland, n. ireland


england should
take the 1st spot pretty easily, their squad includes very good ctf players
such as blokey and ranger, both from clan neo. the fight for the 2nd spot will
be alot more interesting, i think that scotland and wales have an equal chance
of taking the 2nd spot, but if i had to pick one team now, i'd say wales, only
because they managed to get 2nd place in last euroctf season.

i considered posting that, but didn't bother since the guy who wrote it obviously has no clue. what is he basing this on... that wales and scotland are equal for example? he didn't mention any key players or reasons why he made these predictions.. 'fallen.slay'... i doubt he knows enough to make accurate predictions.. hes just looking out for clan tags, and he sees a few UNR tags in the scotland lineup

i'd like to see someone do some proper bigfootesque predictions

Wales are probably a little less strong than last year, but they've been playing a fair few practices starting about 6 weeks ago, so I think they'll be the ones to watch.

And yeah, predictions from someone who knows nothing about CTF are kinda pointless

Hi, im fallen.slay and imo, i know these teams enough to post my(MY predictions, England took 2nd place last season and kindof dominated their group, they have solid CTF players and should take the group easily, u don't agree? Proof me wrong!
With full respect for Ireland and N.Ireland, I don't think that they have what it takes to beat wales/scotland, and like I said, im not sure about the 2nd place, but it will def. be wales vs scotland.

I've been following the q2/3 scene for 3-4 years, and playing the game so I'm not just putting picking nations based on clantags and placing them in the top 2

Anyways, gl all teams, and hopefully u'll proof me wrong, I wont go and cry if my pred. are wrong, I'll be happy to see some upsets

firstly
i'd have to say the Irish squad is in for 2nd place if we play v good and 3rd place for deffo, but i think ireland will be fucked due to connections...

seen as i know all the players from these squads and have been playing ctf either with them or against them at some stage in my ctf career

My Prediction: Eng,Scotland,Wales,Ireland<,NI,IOM

i know making predictions for all the groups covering all of europe is a tricky enough task.. and i think any predictions are better than no predictions.. but:

yes i agree completely, i think england will walk it

what was the score last season vs scotland? if i recall it was an insanely close fixture where scotland got the winning cap after the game had finished. i cant see how you can rule ireland out without even knowing how we have progressed since last season.

I play on servers a lot with Ireland/england/wales/scotland and i have never seen fallen.slay, unless you alias. following the q3 scene, i know you've seen demos of UNR and 4k, so you know what to expect from england, and maybe wales, but i don't believe that you have a clue about ireland, NI, IOM and scotland (bar the UNR players). anyway, i don't mean to be disrespectful, but i just think that haven't backed up your predictions enough to prove that u know anything about these countries.

I agree with sky, wales will be the ones to beat to the 2nd spot, but it would be silly to rule out any of NI/Scotland/Ireland where the standard is so close and it could go either way on the day (i still dont' know who plays for IOM.. apart from Shill and anselmo). my predictions: eng first, wales 2nd, scotland/ireland fixture decides 3rd place.

Not my prob if you haven't seen me

but, all of u (few) that have been "dissing" my predictions, pick the same top2 teams? The top2 is the only place that matter, 2 teams advance.
I am sorry if I disrespected u Ir. peeps, by saying that you don't have what it takes to beat Wales/Scotland, but that is what I think, from watching demos, from scores in previous matches and so on. Of course you know the teams, you'r from ireland, im from iceland, you play with/against them more often then I do, but that doesn't stop me from posting what I think, to my best knowledge. Now,lets stop all this whining and hope for a great CTF season with plenty of upsets(again, I wont cry, i'll be happy!
