MindPhuck Eric Mooney Im drinking stuff donated to quake.ie clan : n8z posts : 1267 site owner godsmurf has posted up some news on the cup regarding the captains and more importantly invited nations. the following countries are invited to send a team: austria, belgium, denmark, finland, france, germany, iceland, italy, luxemburg, netherlands, norway, spain, sweden, switzerland, uk. other countries will have to demonstrate that they can field a national team with good international internet connections and a competitive skill level. so once again, we find ireland have to prove our connects before we can actually get into a competition. this blows more goats then a welshman! not that i blame cb, its seems to be a constant battle for talented irish players with the irish telecommunications industry.

Not a great fan of dodgy wireless stuff either it sounds like more of a hobby then a service you can rely on. as for Ireland in the nations cup.... clanbase are probably right... we're fucked outside barrysworld/jolt ... and even on those servers the brits etc... all are one step ahead of us all the time. If there was a place in Ireland we could lan as a team from... then we'd have a good chance, but all avenues seem to be cut off there.

We just about compete in the BW leagues with our connects never mind compete against european clans with supa connects. As for the avenues to play lan, I have been working on a place for some time now. I cannot/will not disclose that at this moment in time. Some of you already know what Im talking about. If it works out, team.ie will have a place to compete from on a regular basis.
