Zero Ronan Condon Absolute Fucking Champion clan : n8z posts : 816 site administrator bigfoot has his bwdml week 5 review up on quakenation this morning, worth a read. in the irish side of things this week, we saw 3 draws from the 3 irish teams, some welcome, some not. after a reasonably comfortable win on cpm4, the fh lads became the usual victims to ping against ucq, who took osp6 by nearly double scores. according to bif, fh have to beat da next week to avoid the mingin-ness that is relegation. having seen these guys rock on lan, its frustrating to see them lose because of ping, div 3d is way below their level. bio had what seemed to be two pretty close games vs ea, winning cpm4 but getting pipped at the post in the last minute on osp6 to lose by a shitty 5 frags to cost them the 3 points, although i wouldnt think they are worried, as they are sitting pretty comfortably at the top of the table in 2c. this week saw nd face down kr, who are leading div 2b, and went in expecting a loss. the superior-pinged kr ran away with cpm4, winning 122-65, playing the level very well, but didn't seem to have the same knowledge of osp6. nd took a slight lead and held it throughout the game, holding ra and getting all but 2 or 3 quads, coming in at 111-100, to take a point from kr, who "were disgusted by nd's tactics". god forbid we ever win a game.

I can't complain about ping tonight, since it wasn't as worse as last week... It was still utter bollox on ospdm6 which is a pingy map, but my ping rarely went over 120 this time. What I will complain about is bigfoot's gay review again, "FH who took cpm4 against UcQ but as the Spanish sides pings settled down they showed their true skill level". UcQ's ping was absolutely fine on CPM4, about the same as ours, except that they had broadband while we were ISDN. It didn't improve at all for ospdm6, and it is utterly gay how he thinks beating FH by 40 frags is their "true skill level" (especially since we beat them both games last season). It happened in week 1, where LSR drew with FH, and despite us getting the much larger frag difference "LSR could do better than their week 1 result suggests". As for relegation, if we lose vs DA it doesn't mean were relegated, all he is saying is that if we don't win, relegation will remain a possibility. Currently there are 5 clans below us, and we have a game in hand over IY who are 3 points above us. Well played nD - if KR are moaning over your style of playing OSPDM6, then they're just as lame as they were WHEN IRISH RANGERS BEAT THEM IN THE UKS LEAGUE ahhaha. yes, thats correct. KR (then KOTR) in their first competitive TDM game lost 78 - 6 on q3dm12 against an IR team of me, Teech and Peewee.

That way, ALL you see is your ping in fights (unless you press tab a lot in game).

19/04/2002 #13 anonymous we are total newbs to tdm m8, we held ra well on cpm4, dont know what your talking about, we held ra, got quad and won, thats tdm isnt it ? when it came to that ospdm6 we were all lost tbh, couldnt find ra or the quad spawn yet it was close explicit

19/04/2002 #14 anonymous for the last time it wasnt nD's tactics that were lame just the general tdm playing style: defencive cautious and boring. its the same for every team we've played even when we win we dont enjoy it half the time cos we gotta chase people who normally have more guns and armour than we do and we dont like it and illkillya its sad that you think we are lame for losing to IR. q3 is the first game members of kotr have played so 2 years ago with us on 56k and being total newbies to online gaming (i've only had a pc for about 3 years myself) losing a game isnt exactly anything shameful. and koopa stfu i think our lan aim would be better than yours tbh. \o/. aci-kr
