eircom and indigo peering to barrysworld is back. to be precise the journey to barrysworld is only 7 hops rather then 13 and the bad return traffic issues bbplanet were giving are resolved with the new route eircom and indigo take through the london internet exchange.

tested with indigo and eircom both of dublin pop numbers - 7 hops 35 ping average. hopefully this will make the coming league fixtures a little easier.

Should have tried Eircom then.. me, dest and vin were all on Ocean in league not expecting the peering to be back up in time, and our pings were 90 - 130 with awful PL. But, collie was also playing on some UK ISP and had the same problem. i just hope eircom can keep ping in the yellow for next week's game.

I've been having a look at the way ocean is routed and well. It's got low hops, its routed decently, it pings low in dos.

But it just sucks ingame... even though by looking at the hops and pings it shouldn't suck but it just does. The isp must just be below quality or over loaded or something because it sucks ingame. And always has. However indigo and eircom now that they're routed decently play sweet.
