been/is being put together by myself (zero) and bunny.
this section is basically aimed at new players. us lads who have been playing quake and
games like it for years kind of take it for granted that we know how to set up the game
properly, know where to play, know how to get in touch with other irish quakers etc.
but when we were thinking of things to throw up on this site, we realised that for
a new person, i.e. someone who walks into game or somewhere and buys quake3, it's
extremely hard to get into the game, because to play it properly you need to have it
configured optimally, need to know where to play, how to play different opponents etc.
you also never know any other quake lads, and that's all part of it. quake is more
than a game, in ireland at least, it's a "community" of lads, most of whom know
each other, so as well as just logging onto the internet and playing, we make good
friends, go on the beer when we are at competitions, stuff like that. so, if you are new,
this is the place to come to. we haven't all the sections completed yet, but when we do,
it will be the complete guide to quake, and playing it in ireland. we will also be
updating this from time to time with new modifications to the game, new ways of playing
etc
