everyone has there own "config". it’s a file stored in
your quake folder with your own personal settings, as everybody plays with different
preferences.

you set up your own config by first using the quake3 menu options (anytime during the
game or intro screens you can hit "esc" to access the menu), and also by typing
in commands into the console. (the console is opened/closed by hitting the key just below
the esc key).

some of these commands will be basic, some advanced, all will help give you the edge in
the game as well as a very professional setup. this configuration section is split up into
two sections :
