Zero Ronan Condon Absolute Fucking Champion clan : n8z posts : 816 site administrator seven weeks gone in the barrysworld tdm league, and now i'm happy we stuck at it, because we are more or less certain not to be in the "relegation zone" of the division as it ends. i was reading bif's qn update: "...with the narrow victory nd, (who added irish qw legend ser to their ranks this week from bio), have pushed themselves into almost certain safety, needing just 1 more point to be absolutely safe". indeed bigfoot, and watch us next season when we come in and win the division and go play with the nerds in division 1. the teams that beat us this season, i'd really really like to take them on, on lan or indeed on slosh or games2. i know fh would love a go, taking on the muppets that jammed level wins on them and frustrated them so much that they might not be back for season 9 of the bw league. which brings me to the suggestion of another iq3cl, with a few invitational uk/bw clans. why not? waving the green flag we would have nd, fh, bio and fbf. we could invite 4-8 uk clans, around div2 standard, the same as ourselves for a few games on level ground. make a big deal out of it, have a laugh, and join together in rooting for whichever irish clan gets a shot at the title. i think we should organise it, anyone with me? should be a group effort, mindphuck will always help but i am sick of watching him do everything himself. so, are u a "bufftie" or a "fackin hard cant" ??

I think even on games2 our ping would be 90-100 in fights against broadband clans. I think we'd just be in it for fun since our games on lan have really sapped our motivation to win laggy internet leagues, but it would be miles better than BWDML, it would be fun like.. Irish leagues are always so much better anyway. I'd say since its an IQ3CL, there would be enough interest in FH to field a second team if it was on the right day of the week. I'll give you a hand with it Z, I know all the UK clans so we could invite the least gay ones.. although I'll be in america for the second half of July I'd say. One thing we've never done in q3 is a CTF league.. FH and FbF both play CTF, I would love to see nD start playing if there was enough interest.

FH play our friendlies on games2 when the other clans dont have their own server and they always have great ping.. a lot better than ours. Thats ADSL or cable. The ISDNers admittedly get dodgy ping, but ISDNers get bad ping everwhere in 4v4 tdm, since it just goes mad in game anyway.

The adsl players get 48 or 50 ping in game, I don't know what its like in dos. The UK ISDN on Irish servers is definitely not 'more lol' than Irish ISDN on UK servers, I have never seen a UK ISDN player have ping of 180 in game on an Irish server... in fact the last time we played a UK clan on an Irish server (a div3 clan called oRs) they had 3 adsl/cable players and 1 on ISDN who was pinging green the same as everyone else, he was the only player on their team hitting yellow in fights, while all of our team had that problem. You must be basing your opinion on the couple of games you played on Irish servers a long time ago, this is evident by your reverence to games1 which has been gone for months. UK -> IE connections have improved a lot since then, and for once we have a server that actually works.

Altho you're not wrong, I do seem to ping a little better (35) now.

I don't have the time to help out with the league / organise my team for this league - lot of other shit going on. But I think we should definitely have a mini iq3cl - IQ3CL Cup or something like that at a lan, I dunno the logistics of getting together a decent quake lan though what with room101 getting cancelled.
