| ah, it's been quite a while since i wrote anything up here. lots of stuff happening, so certain things always get put on the long finger.
it's funny how you move through different "phases" of your life, if that's the word to use, like when you're a kid you have the transition from primary to secondary school to college, or on a lesser scale from class to class. indeed, when you're in college you have the same, most people go abroad at least one summer of college and the different years often mean different groups of friends, so you're "phase-shifting" the whole way through. i dunno if you know what i mean. the reason i'm saying it is that i was in the same one for two years and am now thankfully about to move on and it's about fuckin time. i finished college this time 2 years ago, supposedly to all go off and make a stab at climbing the career ladder, only to find out i failed an exam. certain circumstances that summer meant that i failed the repeat and was told i had to do another half-year of college, which i deferred. so basically for the last two years, i was working, just waiting to come back and get done with ul for good. kind of in the same phase/scenario for two years, you get very sick of it.
and now i'm two days away from finishing. one exam left on saturday morning and that's the end of that. i can't wait, it's going to be a deadly summer, and no more of this fuckin college hanging over me. sticking around limerick for the summer, moving into a gaff with lj (bunny), woody (ol) and ian (gman). sonic and noelie (krusty) just across the road, jeff (jay) around the corner, we'll have some good crack. koopa is comin down for a bit too i think. i got the gaff so i got room choice. um, let's see, i think i'll take the double room with ensuite electric shower. yes. i think so.
gamewise, we all kinda did a full turnaround down here. we were duelling away in q3 like mad at the start of the semester when i came back, i finally started to learn to play q3 well, was able to give good games to nicky/chris, and basically, the futility of trying to get on the net just got to us, we got sick of q3.
it was funny, one night it was just sonic and myself around here, and we said right, we are going to play every possible multi-player game we can tonite just for a laugh, some of the older ones too, q1, warcraft, starcraft etc. so we had a game of sc, and we were like, "jesus christ, why did we stop playing this??", and started having 6/7 player games on the network. then bunny came down for a few weeks and we all went back playin q1, he's all givin us "da trainins" on q1 again, and that's basically all we play now, either starcraft or qw, two of the best fuckin games ever, i think. you wonder how you stopped playing them.
i'm all going looking for a job now, i kinda had one lined up, and it didn't work out, so i'm all mr recruitment atm, it's well annoying. i think i'll take some doss job for a while to take it easy for the summer, although that might mean gettin rid of the car, which incidentally is still for sale, should anyone want a '95 nissan sunny worth the money.
other than that, nothin really goin on, lookin forward to the summer, the missus is stayin around too, so if the weather stays any way reasonable good, i can see plenty of evenings on a couch out the back with a six-pack, nice.
must go study for this fuckin exam.
