| i remember in secondary school, my sister always used to listen to music while she studied for exams. for me though, i always had to have complete silence otherwise i would get easily distracted. at the time the idea of listening to music while studying was complete no no.
things have completely reversed; now that i am working, i find that i don't get any work done unless i have the headphones on and the trance flowing. do any of you listen to music at work and if so do you think it really helps you?
the type of music i'm listening too also effects the amount of work that gets done, ie. if i listen to music with lots of lyrics i end up singing along to the music in my head and get even less work done, whereas if i listen to trance, something with a mid to fast beat, then i just get a shit load done.
i remember seeing something on the news a few months back saying that researchers had found that the pace of the music can effect the amount of study/work done. i took a brief look on the web but i couldn't find anything. has anyone else seen this?
anyway, the music i listen to is from an online radio station. digitally imported. the european trance is the best one i find, but there is also classical music and a few others. i highly recommend this to anyone who listens to trance/dance at work. check it out, all you need is winamp and at least a 56kbps connection.
