the shack has a couple of new doom 3 screenshots from the activision press event activate. doom 3 is looking very impressive. let's just hope that the game play is as good as the graphics.

Ill just have to take my time-machine and go into the future, get a P6 4000mhz PC from that era and come back and play it.

Yes..I'm sure Doom 3 will provide a slightly fun, short-lived, slow-paced, vaguely scary experience that shouldn't bear the title of its predecessors. Im also sure our top of the range PCs now will happily slug along at 20 frames-per-second and developers will expect us part with our hard-earned cash to dish out on the latest GFX card...just to get it running nicely

I'm not impressed at all. If the multiplayer is as dull as the single player is looking..this one
can stay on the shelves.

Less focus on graphics...more gameplay please. We've had enough upgrading hardware thank you.

This is a homosexual shout out to kyro...

You have absolutly no basis to your argument and are just ranting and raving.

I never play games for the graphics, the first thing most people I know do, is turn them all off, cos like kyro said it avoids us having to part with our hard earned cash in a rat race for hardware. Besides, look at Doom and Quake, still two of the best games ever written, and the graphics in both of them are shite, and what ever graphics are left over, the players just turn them off.

Lets face it, this game has just got the Doom name to boost sales. It's just a good marketing ploy, and there will be a lot of 10 and 12 year olds out there with this game high up on their christmas list.

Sadly games companies write games to make money, not to please a bunch of nerdlingers like us. The game will be a one off 'experience' thing, where the first few levels are brilliant, and after that they will become boring, like in quake2... all of a sudden the developers realise that they're short on time so the last levels (or stages or missions or whatever you want to call them) are always shite in comparison to the first few.

aye jay, i remember thinking that as doom and half life went on they got really poor. first bits were class though, deus ex was fairly solid the whole way through.. as was thief :|
id have always rocked at level design though, and doom3 will more than likely throw up a few classic maps

Ah saik, I suppose you know that the hell levels are the final ones. My guess is... DISNEY LAND.
