| hi all,
since i started all this, i get to be the wonderfull person who has to be the bearer of bad news.
a planning problem with the venue, on middle abbey street, where we had originally intended to hold the lan event room 101 has come to the organisers of the lan's attention. myself and shadow have done our best since we found out about this problem to get it resolved but unfortunatly to no avail.
this incredibally unfortunate and unforseen situation, has meant that net house have been ordered to temporarily stop all works on the interior of the building by dublin corporation. this in turn has meant that it is unlikly that the building will meet fire and safety regulations in time for the lan.
i spent many hours trying to find alternative location which is suitable and appropriate to our requirements. i could not find anywhere which would be available on those dates.
so it is with the greatest dissapointment that i have to announce the postponment of the event. i think its fair to say that everyone involved with the event is hugely sorry that this has happened, but that now more than ever we are resolute in making this lan happen.

anyone who has posted their entry fee, could they mail shadow with their home address in order for us to double check your details and then organise refunding you, etc.
once again our deeepest apologies for any inconvenience caused to anyone who has already made arrangements around the event. we will be in touch as soon as we have a new date set.
from my own point of view, i spent many hours helping and answering peoples questions, organising various things and generally getting things organised in the background. im as gutted about this as you are.
