equipment needed

a pc or laptop (pentium 3 minimum), with a network card
headphones - speaker are not allowed!
a quad strip to connect your pc to the power supply.
plenty of energy drinks
how long?

we will be officially kicking off at about 5.30pm
and playing untill about the same time sunday
with 24 hour access thats nearly 72hours worth of gaming
what if i turn up early?

anyone who turns up before that will be able to access the venue, and have their pc safely stored
we hope to have a gamecube and/or a ps2 and large tv on-site to provide distraction untill the event is ready to kick off, there are also arcade machines and pool tables in the room next-door for use before and during the event

though expect large ammounts of battlefield 1942 and its mods/ expansions
also q3, ut, ut2003, cs, dod and halo.
and the network

hardware will be all switchs
we have 3 24-port switches, however any hardware that can be brought to the event would be greatly appriciated and rewarded.
facilities

there is a car park directly opposite the venue.
its also directly over one of the campus pubs with two others within 5 min walking distance
'kip rooms' will be provided, as well as vending machines at the location.
also the nearby four star pizza does deliveries
competitions and prizes?

at this point in time, we are still trying to arrange prizes.
onced we have them, we will confirm the competitions.
most likly a bf1942 event and a q3 event.
