yeah, this thing was for last year, not this year so it's not going on anymore. don't post any comments. i have received a snailmail from the paintball company in question which was also sent to their solicitors according to the cc at the top. they got fairly fucking pissed off at the shitty bad language in the details of this event, so i said "well fucking hell, that shit's just not on. i better sort that out fairly fucking fast or by fuck they'll get even more annoyed at this fucking disgraceful shit behaviour". and made it quite clear that the implication i was given when researching the lan that fake ids were not required was false (wink). they (wink) do require real ids and fake ids are not allowed. what? i like winking. so i don't want anybody asking for fake ids cause i'm not gonna help you with that, i can't be arsed.

by the way mr *(reference to *********, the company, images, logos and services deleted by my high moral standing)* fuck you (nobody even reads this anymore except for you who only just found out about it a whole year later)
and i do not have permission to delete this link.

Can you bring your own gun and can you rent the bits of equipment you need rather than the whole set ????? Wicked idea though guys

static erm...I'd say that you could bring your own gun yes but as for renting only what you need the price won't change if you use your own gun. I'm guessing that there might be some problems with insurance, ppl complaining about your better gun or something like that because your gun wouldn't be covered by their insurance (it also might hurt more than their guns and ppl won't like that). But i'll look into it anyway. keep those questions coming

Well I have been to the paintball place in wicklow before. I went with my college(Tipp Inst) in october/november. The place where they have it is pretty good. Like in the middle of a forest. When we went we got a starter pack of 60 and then 100 paintball refill was £10. We were there from eleven till 5:30pm but only got to play 3 games and didn't get to have a barbeque lunch but i guess its probably different in the summer. I was pretty good but really expensive.

" Dear Eoin Thanks for your message. Paintball markers are classified as firearms in Ireland and as such, must be licenced. To date only site operators have been licenced to have paintguns and so unlicenced guns are classed as illegal firearms - this restriction prevents us from allowing players use their own guns at our venue. For Insurance purposes we must issue (approved) site goggles to all players. The coach company we use has the following coaches: 16 seater E165 round trip Dublin-Crossfire 26 seater E230 " " 34 seater E320 " " I hope this answers your questions, if there is anything further please don't hesitate to contact us regards Madeleine CROSSFIRE PAINTBALL GAMES "

ok lads here's the deal, We'll only be playing the games that they have in their list http://www.crossfire.ie/games.html , If we don't have time for all of them then on the day whatever people want will be done. catfish? You cannot bring your own weapons because paintball guns are classified as weapons in ireland and only the ones they have are covered by their insurance. The date is looking more and more likely to be sometime at the beginning of July after all exams are over and done with. Then end of may is just too soon and it doesn't suit alot of ppl. Also i have my own reasons for not having it in June. As regards transportation The coach company crossfire uses has the following coaches: 16 seater E165 round trip Dublin-Crossfire 26 seater E230 " " 34 seater E320 " " Those buses will be leaving fromas soon as i find out the price for those buses will be picking people up at the train station. Although the transportation was originally going to be organised only for people coming up with me from Cork any1 that wants to join the trip at the train station can do so and be driven from their to the site. as regards ammunition here's a quote from the crossfire website "Ammunition: A free starter pack of paintballs is included in all programmes, however if you are trigger happy extra paintballs are available in cartridges of 10 shots at €1.65 (IR£1.30) . Unlike other venues we do not have a 60 shot minimum purchase and you pay for extra paintballs at the end of your programme, so if you return unused cartridges you don't pay for them. " The cost for the whole thing for each person will be one of 3 of these options: 1. A train from cork to dublin, a buss from dublin to the site and of course for the return trip and the games themselves. 2. People who join the group at the bus station and take the bus to the site. (Even if you don't take the bus back to the train station with the group you will still be paying for the round trip) 3. People who make their own way to the site will only have to pay for the standard crossfire package but will of course be able to avail of the group discount. (Just make sure you're signed up on http://room101.org beforehand otherwise you won't be getting any discount, simple as that) At some point I will need to get an email from every1 that signs up telling me which option you're taking, otherwise i'm just gonna cross you off the list My brain hurts so i'm gonna stop typing now

oh and btw i'm not going to be organising any1s train ticket, it's just not worth the hassle and it would actually be easier if every1 bought their own ticket. We'll all just go up on the same train though. For cork ppl the trains running on the morning of july 13th the times are 5:05am and 7:05am according to the woman on the phone
