Gamers Heaven Magazine are proud to announce the first in the GHMLAN series. GHMLAN is a sponsored event with lots of great prizes from Logitech, Alienware, GameStop, and more to be confirmed. We will have many just for fun games as well as our main competitions. Competitions: Unreal Tournament 2004: 1v1 & Free a for all Deathmatch Counter Strike Source: 5v5 Counter Strike 1.6: 5v5 StarCraft: 2v2 Prizes: Our prises range from newly released games to 5.1 sound Systems and lots in between includin alienware packs for the Counter Strike Source comp and GameStop have provided enough goodiebags for all who attend. 17/03/2006 15:55 #3 M3RL1N David Wicks The Editor of GHM posts : 10 lans : 1 got a VB script error when i posted about our lan, thought it might have been a one off thing so posted the same thing again and again got the same error... i was unable to edit my posts or anything so all i could do was leave them and hope you guys knew what was up... the post i made is the same as the one i used on boards.ie and can be seen in code form here: http://events.gamersheavenmag.com/room101post.txt i cant see anything in it thatd cause an error... also thanks for posting bout our lan on the front page. much appreciated

18/04/2006 14:07 #4 M3RL1N David Wicks The Editor of GHM posts : 10 lans : 1 Ok guys quick update, were down to 22 PCs now for the night and thats after the increas of 24, so if your comin and have not signed up yet now would be a good time to do so. there are 2 main discussion locations for this lan where youll get more info and up to date news. a few of the communities have also set up their own topics on the LAN but theyre usually internal chat for teams etc and not much use to general public.... 30/04/2006 15:48 #6 Dev Will Deverell Lans:3 posts : 1 Was a good LAN imo. I loved the CSS tournie , how were the other comps? I only had two probs which was impressive. Old Counter Strike Source. The old version was terrible but as I said on boards.ie there was nothing the GHM LAN crew could do about it. Not being able to plug in your own headphones and keyboard was a little annoying. 09/05/2006 01:08 #9 kRoNic Ciarán Rodgers posts : 2 lans : 1 ok then! im sure you already know of the problems though, but anyway... ut2k4 not being installed on the cafes pcs, the ut2k4 1v1 comp being canceled, it was one of the main reasons i came to the lan, also i couldnt instal the drivers for my mouse and yes i know you mentioned it on your site ;D cant really think of any major problems then those 3, so not bad for your first lan good points of the lan = good location and good value for money i also like that it was a 12hour lan those 36hour ones are a killer ^^ and not to mention i got a nice 5.1 surround sound system for 1 game of instagib \o/ cu @ ghmlan 2
