bAz bAz hurray for chess(e) posts : 288 recently announced here . anyone going for captain ? i’d be willing to do it, or at least help out. lets put the effort in now, and leave what happened in the past, in the past, and give the best of the irish a chance to show what they’re capable of.

I'm sure i could do a superb job on the irish tag, especially by placing more emphasis on bright orange with a darker shade of green to compensate. White is a very boring colour and doesnt inspire or convey the message of death well. As for tactics, im a keen advocate of the 0-0-5 formation as well as an expectaincy for every player to have the most up to date aimbot and an ability to traverse any ctf map in 3 strafe jumps and one rocket jump using modified anti-punkbuster ninja scripts. Oh and also a good team picks itself so ill be on the piss when we have NC games. Ill text msg tactics and teamlists if i find a free group messaging site, that will be all. In response to Benji: "how many clans have u/killy/zero and as kilyl said spec/dest/sky run?" I ran FURY for years - in fact, we're still the most successful jolt tdm team ever (div 1 champions for three consecutive seasons). I did have a lot of support from Corran tho. I also ran SS for longer than I care to remember, and we won Savage CTF a few times as well as Savage CCTF for 7 seasons. That might be before your time tho I don't think I'd want to captain an NC cup team though, I'm not active enough and I'm not as into ctf as I once was. I do think the way to get results in this would be to get the team down then get some practices in early. I think the way clanbase allocate captains is based on support from clans - ie, DeD, n8z and fh each have one vote I guess. It'd be nice for it not to come to that - I thought in general we've been fairly supportive of each other recently (I always try to wish the DeD and fh lads luck before games, and vice versa) and I'm kinda surprised this is blowing up. Oh yeah, and my PC's dead at the moment (won't POST) so I'll be offline for a few days.

It seems that everytime there is some kind of big event going on, it's hard to hear one clear voice coming out of the irish field. Playing for DeD since QuakeLAN (which was the winner CTF seeded team 'DandruffAttack' minus Melachi), I must say that the team is very sound and bAz is doing a great job in organising games etc. So if it's a given that MP or Killy would do a great job in the role of captain for the irish team (due to their respective past experience), I would follow bAz trustfully if he's taking on the captain job and I think everybody should if it's the case. Now, unfortunately, I haven't been able to train much for the last couple of months and my aim/game is not very good atm (if it ever was - I'm an average player anyway). But for the past months I decided to concentrate my efforts on coaching and I think I'm doing quite well. Now I don't have a clue about how the other irish coaches are but if nobody is up to the task, I would gladly help the irish team for this NC.

Nobody is touchy about 'what happened in the past' in q3 nations cups. They have all been well done and successful, including the seasons when we opted not to enter due to a lack of interest or activity from the core players. The only people who complained about us not entering the last time was two or three of division 4 players who had never played for Ireland before, and Bd. Spectator - if you're a fulltime coach you'd probably make a very good captain, since you are levelheaded and everyone gets along with you. bAz is too lame and most people don't respect him at all, and I also believe he is overconfident in his own limited ability. I reckon you should throw your name in the hat for solo captain. ps, I read on clanbase that Flash was looking for the job... does someone want to tell him that if he wants support from Irish clans he'd want to post on this site? pps, S1r-K1llal0t, I saw your post before you edited it, and was struck by the irony of you cricitising my 'gammar' due to a typo of my own. I agree with CH.

This is the last I'm going to say, All I offered was my spair time and effort. I've emailed CB entering us into the NC, i said i was a contact person, specifying #team.ie ofr more info.
