I am glad to announce that both Microsoft and Elara have signed up as sponsors of DeathCon. What this means is bigger and better prizes available for this and future LANs. Its just another step towards our goal of making the best gaming events in Ireland.

Hey guys. Well not long now to what’s is bound to be the best Deathcon ever!!. First up I have some good news. I am glad to announce that both Microsoft and Elara have signed up as sponsors of DeathCon. What this means is bigger and better prizes available for this and future LANs. It’s just another step towards our goal of making the best gaming events in Ireland. I just want to remind you all of a couple of things. Although kick off is at 9am the first competitions will start at 11am sharp! If you are not ready then we will have to assume you are not coming and leave you out of the comp. Likewise booked seats will only be kept until 11am. If you turn up after that time you may lose your seat. Below is a list of all the comps in roughly the order that they will be played. But as we try to run these comp simultaneously things may change on the day: PC Comps C&C Generals (knockout) BF 1942 (4 man teams) DOD (2 man teams) Tron 2 bikes (2 man teams) Desert Combat (4 man teams) Action HL (knockout) DFBHD (free for all) Tron 2 Discs (2 man teams) Counter Strike (2 man teams) UT GOTY (free for all) Players Choice Xbox Comps Soul Calibur 2 (knockout) Fifa 2004 (knockout) DoA (knockout) Kung Fu Chaos (knockout) Halo (Last man Standing) Motor GP2 (knockout) Please try to have as many of these games installed as you can before the LAN to help save time. Don’t forget to bring a mouse matt as most of you will be playing on a glass table. Cant wait for kick off now. See you all soon. Jazz

Sorry theres no free parking in the immediate area. Best bet is to drop your stuff in, then find some free parking elsewhere.

We will be playing the latest versions of all games. We have BB access so if we are missing a patch (unlikely) we can always download it.

Unfortunately I can't attend the lan. I brought my PC over to Sweden, and just got back this tuesday. When going to Sweden my pc must've recieved a heavy knock or something (even though it was covered in fragile stickers and well wrapped) and my only 120gb hdd was broken and all stuff lost on it. I've ordered a new hdd but probably won't recieve it til monday.
