BioHazRd Richard Smith I stole Mindphucks Donkey posts : 209 lans : 18 site administrator the darkside series returns : friday 22nd to sunday 24th april 10pm to 10am for 36 hours of pain and suffering we will be running competitions too, but not too many , so the emphasis will be on having fun games: (but not limited to) ut2k4 call of duty + mods battlefield + mods counterstrike (hopefully we will ahve a net connect) hldm quake iii ut etc. etc. etc. so, you can see from this, basically, we will be playing anything and everything, withtin reason all requirements and questions about the darkside series are covered in the faq here again, there will be no leeching allowed during the lan. this means open shares and or ftp servers. the only ftp allowed will be the official dakside ftp which will have all the latest patches and fixes amongst other things as usual, we will be hosting an irc server, and the intranet will also be put to good use we will also have the projector andbig screen, and possibly some consoles too. cost :- €30, payable at the door if you need to chat with any of the organisers, you can get us on irc : irc.quakenet.org #darkside.ie lan dates : 22/04/2005 to 24/04/2005 24 hour lan lan address : Panama scout hall Phibsboro Dublin 7 cost details : 30 Euros per pc alcholol? : no net connect? : no age limit : none attending : 73 of 86

But cans of Miller are horrible. I don't know whether it'll be out by then or not, but SWAT 4 is gonna be so good. I was lucky enough to be part of the limited key beta MP testing and it owns.

04/05/2005 00:05 #26 RogueHighlander Viveash posts : 8 lans : 5 20v20 comp could be done. just a little more work involved. each side is made up of 4 teams of 5. so Teams ABCD vs WXYZ. team score is depenedent on scores of players added up. then ABYZ vs CDWX. might not work for certain game types but it would be a hell of alot better than the 2v2 at darkside 8 *shudder*

Although fell free to ask BioHazRd about running a 20v20 comp as more or less the owner of Darkside LAN he has the last word.
