BioHazRd Richard Smith I stole Mindphucks Donkey posts : 209 lans : 18 site administrator the darkside series returns : saturday 17th to sunday 18th april 10am to 10am for 24 hours of pain we will be running some small competitions this time, so the emphasis will be on having fun games: (but not limited to) quake iii osp though maybe not as much as usual ut2k4 hopefully it should be released by then painkiller again, should be released in time for the lan battlefield 1942 command&conquer generals call of duty etc. etc. etc. all requirements and questions about the darkside series are covered in the faq here again, there will be no leeching allowed during the lan. this means open shares and or ftp servers. the only ftp allowed will be the official dakside ftp which will have all the latest patches and fixes amongst other things as usual, we will be hosting an irc server, and the intranet will also be put to good use we hope to have the projector and a huge screen, and possibly some consoles too. cost :- €30, payable at the door if you need to chat with any of the organisers, you can get us on irc : irc.quakenet.org #darkside.ie lan dates : 17/04/2004 to 18/04/2004 24 hour lan lan address : Panama Scout Hall Phibsboro Dublin 7 cost details : This is a BYOPC event €30 per PC alcholol? : no net connect? : no age limit : none attending : 80 of 74

Great Lan, no leeching rule made everybody sitdown and play the tourneys and compos... Got whooped in BF vietnam, Got to the final of UT2K4 4v4 but lost it due to BK flying around, Got nowhere in Call of Duty... but I loved the painkiller tourney, spur of the moment fun that had 16 players, on 5 min deathmatch...Mindphuck was raping my little ears around the level until he got a little distracted during the final and in painkiller all can change...fair play to swiss who drew with MP initially but lost the replay... Nice to finally come to a Darkside Lan, and I'll be going to a lot more... I've organised and been to a lot of LANs before but this really raised the bar for me... Thanks lads.. gg, plyd shots
