I the official rules, there is no mention of a car class type, so id asume its up to the player.. meaning class A for everyone

And yes - signups are closing tomorrow (aug 31st)

Starcraft is there because its a qualifier for an international competition. Ireland is not exactly their top priority when assigning games for tournaments.

Also, PCs and monitors are provided for the tournaments to ensure an even playing field. Your own PC and monitor are for partaking in the BYOC lan, which is not a part of the official tournament, but merely an entertaining side project.

you mean a trip to monza is not enough ??

Seriously though, we are quite aware that there may not be enough interest in all the games to warrant running qualifiers for everything, so it is possible that some comps dont get run - we will have a definitive picture on this hopefully by the end of nest week (I hope you all used real email addresses in your room101 profile). We will look at prizes for the comps, but tbh, we can only give out what is given to us - the budget will not stretch to buying prizes. As we get closer to the event, we will have a more complete picture of how the whole event will be structured. One way or another, its gonna be a blast

well just want u to know there will only be a handful of people for starcraft id say.its never been big in ireland.
i was just wondering if there were additional prizes cause ill be in with a decent chance to win starcraft, but i dunno if i can actually go to monza in october.tis not a big deal anyway, just have heard bout some nice prizes for other countrys when they win qualifiers.
a wcg in ireland will indeed be a blast,do u know how it happened?whos sponsoring it?will it continue?pity this didnt happen a few years ago when i wud have been more interested

I dont suppose you could keep registration open for another day or something, the news about WCG Ireland just hit Teamliquid.net and pgtour.net so Id hate for a SC player to miss out just because they didnt visit either site for one day

Hey guys, been pulling a few strings here and there and i can get the WCG a few mentions a week on Dublins Q102, anyway just been on to the WCG and theyll be on to the guys here at R101, so with a bit of luck we can get the reqistrations held open for another week or so as id be nice to announce on the radio while people can still sign up. otherwise itll be an announcement for spectators... Ill be getting it mentioned either way just thought itd be better while registrations are open.

Also ive got ComputerDoctor.ie involved, well be there offering free tech support for the event if shit hits the fan and network dies or something and well be there to help mainly with anyones PCs if they go down or need a bit of a speed boost.

I have a few things left over from the last GHMLAN and ill bring them along myself and hold a few give aways or what ever (just gotta run this by the WCG first to see if i can or not), the last X-Fi Sound Card is for the next UIE lan though as it was meant for the UT2004 comp at GHMAN 2. but i got fatal1ty mice, creative headsets, 360 faceplates, games a couple of logitech joysticks also a gig of crucial ram and a logitech media elite keyboard. ill figure out some ways to give them away at the event over the next few weeks.

M3RL1N,

The registrations will NOT be held open for another week, they close today and that is final. You should clear the posting of such ideas with us beforehand, in case it should cause any confusion with any potential attendees. Also your wording infers that you are somehow involved with this event (eg "so with a bit of luck we can get registrations held open"), and I would like to assure people that this couldnt be farther from the truth.

Also, please dont bother bringing along any giveaways, as we believe that these are prizes allocated for GHM lan, and we want to be seen to have no association whatsoever with GHM lan.
