- but desert combat, q3, cs, call of duty, enemy territory and a myriad of rts games seem to be popular
requirements:

  • your box and everything needed to game
  • transport - the venue is a bit outside the city
  • 10/100mbit network card
  • a 10m+ length of cat5 network cable if you prefer, i will supply you with a cable if needed
  • 4-way gang adapter/power strip and whatever extension cables you can lay your hands on.
  • headphones (no speakers!).
  • money for food, drink, accomodation etc.
  • your >>signed waiver<< - no admission without one
  • melee weapon of choice (eg: batleth, frying pan, hypnotoad, sleeping tmoney etc.)
  • drivers/games/apps discs, os + cdkeys just in case you need to reformat on the day.
  • anti-virus software fully updated. i recommend avg free edition from grisoft.comno lan access without some. i will make avg free edition installer and updates available on the ftp server.
  • bring sleeping-bags/floormats if you haven't got the stamina

Dawn of crap if you ask me. It is as simple as Rome or Shogun they are designed as a R E A L T I M E S T R A T A G E Y instant start no resources bullshit or building but pure contest in a battle field setting the best battle tactitian wins.

well for my second vote i pick Dawn of war. We do get second votes dont we. It is pretty fast to finish up (if your playing sniipe) cause we dont have to look for the one stray soldier in the corner of the map.

I am going to bring a nuke to the lan to sort out this RTS prob. If people do not play Total Annihilation or the first command and conquer i am going to set off the nuke. Any more questions you can paste them to the nuke on the day.
