youd have to sign a form anyway for all damages.
and we are not in the SU EG010 but cypher gaves gave me bad thoughts about it

I know the ins and outs off the lan parties as Ive orderings them evem before gsoc took it off us .

That confused me a tad, if it has to be sign anyway whats wrong with a guardian signing it aswell so it is made legal?

Shouldnt that cover it? And wouldnt that mean that ye wouldnt need insurance for damages etc? If theyve signed a waiver saying you or the university isnt liable for any damages....

Hey,

Youre right - we must get people to sign waivers before the LAN regarding equipment etc.

Personally I have no problem with a quardian signing a waiver for an under 18 player - sounds like a perfectly fair arrangement.

Let me run it by the university tomorrow and Ill see what they say - if they agree then hopefully well be able to let everyone come along and join in the fun

In other news, the room booking seems to have fallen through (miscommunication within the university and a double booking). Were in the process of arranging another room in the university (and weve been told there is another place available if that doesnt work out) though so all should be well. Ill keep everyone up to date on the progress so keep those eyes peeled. :salute:

The SU may want our hearts, souls and various other organs.

We have a new venue organised now (the C1 area) so were just checking about power, net etc. again. Looks like were back on track though.

Updates as we get them. Looking forward to seeing ye all at the LAN.

Power issues? That never stopped any other lan before... Let the power die, thats what its there to do. Buff the number up to 100 is what I say. More computer = more power fun :-p

I doubt there would be a power cut but you still have to look at the building peels. that was the point sign a waver but read you fine print or you may be giving away you soul

Right lads,

Couple of updates.

Age:
Im removing the age restrictions as we have been given the go-ahead for under 18s

Location and Power:
With our locations change we have 50A - maybe 75A if were really lucky and get another breaker. If my calculations are correct that gives us 33 odd machines. Im putting a freeze on signups unless we get more power from somewhere. Sorry lads - just the way it has to be Im afraid. Would love to have more but can only cater for the capacity of our power grid atm.
Everyone whos signed up already has a place so no fear. Anyone who signs up now must understand that the 33 before you have first rights on a place and you will only get a place if they drop out.
