- your box and everything needed to game
- network card, though i may have some for sale on the day (~€20 for cards worth ~35)
- a decent length of network cable (cat5 or cat5e) if you want,we have cable ourselves but not loads, getting a reel and a blast of heads this week.should have some for sale if you want.
- 4-way gang adapter/power strip/whatever you happen to call it.
- any extension leads you want to/can bring.
- headphones.
- drivers/games/apps discs, os + cdkeys just inc ase you need to reformat on the day.
- an ftp daemon (server). this is because there will be no windows shares allowed.cuts down on traffic due to little or no smb packets flooding the networkand removes a vector for worms/virusii.
the one i've linked to is freeware, can be run as a service and is just plain great.

to help keep the flow of the lans and help put up more info and fun for you guys, i've added a couple of people as site admins. these are people who i feel have either setup some lans, attend alot of lans and have the interest in the irish lan scene. these are : biohazrd, ppc, strat and syxpak.

10/100 switched network, 3 dedicated game servers, lots of extras . there will be a limited amount of tournaments / competitions as i want to concentrate on "having the craic" and there will be some prizes from everglide.

and in with the new!
welcome to the new all singing and dancing room101.org. its taking me many happy hours of coding late at nite and to the wee hours of the morning. i still have a lot of nice features i wish to add to the new site. there is a couple of things that need fixing (like the pic of the day), but all in all, i am proud to release it for general use.
a huge thanks to biohazrd, strat and ppc for their help in debugging some of my not 'not so brilliant' code.
if you have any ideas or see any bugs, let me know please, for now, have fun!

this lan will be fully pre-wired so its plug in and play.
this is a milestone, will be the longest rathlan yet.

organisers: ken darker (azrayal), mark church (tulkus) and a number of others.
the event will start at 10am and will finish at 10pm that night.
equipment: we have a fully switched network on the day with 6 dedicated game servers hosting multiple games.
the event is being sponsored by maplin and other electronic stores in dublin, which means prizes for all the events that will take place.
multiple competitions will be taking place on the day, these events will include rts and team based combat competitions.
what to bring:

what not to bring:
- speakers <--- big no no.
- food/drink <-- unfortunately the red cow has a policy that prohibits anyone from bringing food or drink on to the premises. food and drink can be purchased within the hotel or within the inn accross the road (a full meal can be purchased in the red cow inn for around €10 + mc donalds is 2 minutes walk down the road if you prefer.
- no windows shares, ftp only. we dont want any nasty viri floating around that day.
there will be a intranet that will supply details of competitions and also supply game files needed for the event.
